A REPORT ON THE TWO DAYS TRAINING PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY WOMEN IN PEACEBUILDING NETWORK (WIPNET) ON FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ACCOUNTABILITY HELD AT THE MORGAN SMART DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION RESOURCE CENTER,WARRI,DELTA STATE.

The Secretariat haven realized a gulf in financial reporting and accountability in network members thought it wise to organize a two-day training  program to address this very important issue.

 

It began on the 6th and ended on the 7th of November 2017 at the Morgan Smart Development foundation resource center, Oki Street ,Warri, Delta State.

Pastor Idowu Seimode and Mr. Ekpos Okunwanzei represented Shedrack Agediga foundation  (SAF).

The training involved presentations, slides and interactions spare headed by Mr.Austin Eneanya-the financial manager, West Africa Network for Peace Building (WANEP Nigeria) who stressed the need for network members to strive hard to imbibe “book keeping and budgeting” habits  as this reduces financial recklessness. He further advised NGOs who are yet to be WANEP members to register with the body as this would open many doors of opportunities for them

 

While responding on behalf SAF Pst. Lakemfa Idowu Seimode thanked the organizers for the rare privilege as it had enlightened young development organizations like SAF on the need for proper book keeping and budgeting.

 

A total of eleven (11) Non -Governmental Organizations (NGOs) attended the training.
