Comrade Lucky Shedrack Agediga

Comrade Shedrack Agediga was born into the family of Elder Lucky Enerekpemi Agediga of Ogulagha Kingdom and Aruwei family in Gbaramatu kingdom in Burutu and Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State respectively.

He started his early education at Fikesei Primary School, Sokebolou and got his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He began his post primary education at Sokebolou Secondary School and later completed his West Africa School Certificate at Ogulagha Secondary School, Ogulagha.

In view of his desire for higher education, Comrade Shedrack Agediga attended several higher institutions in Nigeria where he obtained Diploma in Public Administration, Safety and Security Management. Still hungry for academic growth and development, Comrade Shedrack Agediga also obtained a degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.

Comrade Shedrack Agediga has attended several professional courses here in Nigeria and abroad i.e. Nonviolence Education level 1, Conflict Management training in the Lagos Business School LBS, Kingian nonviolence and Conflict Reconciliation level 11 in South Africa, Institutional Capacity Building Certification in Kingian Nonviolence education level 1, 11, & 111 from the prestigious Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies, University of Rhodes Island, USA. He also attended the famous Emory University Atlanta, USA where he obtained an Assistant Instructor’s certification on Kingian Nonviolence studies with a project work on African National Congress ANC. He also attended leadership courses at the Oxford University Smith School of Enterprises) in the United Kingdom UK, Ghana, Cameroun, Egypt, Holland etc.

Comrade Shedrack Agediga is a household name in the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) of the Federal Government having worked as a senior Nigerian trainer with expatriates from the Martin Luther King Jnr Centre in Atlanta, USA and the Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria where he was involved in training Nigerian youths on nonviolence education and attitudinal change at Obubra in Cross Rivers State for about two years.

He has trained several youths and professionals both in Nigeria and abroad on Nonviolence education and conflict management, still concerned about the level of decay in youth leadership and advocacy, Comrade Shedrack Agediga is involved in collaboration with some organization on empowering several youths both in Nigeria and abroad on mentorship, vision, and skill development. He is a speaker at public events and programs and has presented several papers and lectures.

He has served in different organizations including Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria as a senior trainer and Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council as National President for six years, President Burutu integrity development Initiative amongst others. He hosted the best convention of Ijaw Youths Council in history.

Comrade Shedrack Agediga also served as the senior personal assistant to the commissioner representing Ijaw ethnic nationality in the Delta state oil producing areas development commission (DESOPADEC), a commission saddled with the responsibility of managing 50% of the 13% derivation fund accruing to Delta State. He also worked with several multinational companies including Transocean Sedco Forex Limited where he served as the branch union secretary for three years and has since retired from active company service to pursue his private business. Today, Comrade Shedrack Agediga is the proud Managing Director of Steluk Ventures Nigeria Enterprises Limited.

Comrade Shedrack Agediga was appointed Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Conflict Resolution on the 15th December 2015. Saddled with the responsibility of managing conflicts on behalf of Delta State government, Comrade Shedrack Agediga has performed exceptionally well in his department.

As the National Chairman of Shedrack Agediga Foundation, Comrade Shedrack Agediga has contributed selflessly to peace education and the development of Youths in Niger Delta through training programs, workshops and seminars. SAF is open to collaborators/partners in our area of service.

Comrade Shedrack Agediga is happily married to Mrs Vivian Irogho Agediga and they are blessed with four kids Ebi, Tubolayefar, Doubra and Tare.


An illustrious son of the Niger Delta who has distinguished himself with several honors and awards in Nigeria and abroad, a determined young man with great passion and desire to bring about change to our region.
